Overview
The programme, supported under Skillnet Ireland’s Skills Connect Scheme, will be offered FREE to 8 participants, and will run twice a week across 7 weeks in June & July 2025 (online and two in-person sessions*).
It will equip the participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the creative industries effectively, focusing on the role of administration and project management within the sector.

* Participants outside of Dublin will receive a bursary to cover travel expenses for the in-person sessions. Breakfast & lunch will also be provided

Location:
- The sessions on Friday 13th June and Thursday 17th July will take place in person in Dublin
- The rest of the sessions will take place online, on Zoom
Programme Aims:
The programme will provide a broad overview of project management and administrative fundamentals, equipping participants with knowledge and essential skills specific to the Creative and Cultural Sectors.
Participants will receive training facilitated and delivered by industry experts, along with a series of panels and guests speakers, covering a wide range of perspectives within the industry.
The sessions will cover Project Management Fundamentals, Budgeting & Bookkeeping, Communications & Marketing, Events Management, Organisational Skills, CV + Interview Skills, and Funding Applications.
The programme also endeavours to support participants in identifying suitable work placement opportunities as trainees in a creative organisation/company in Ireland.
Who is it aimed at?
Skills Connect offers bespoke upskilling and training solutions, designed by enterprise, aimed at supporting re-entry into the workforce for those who are unemployed or underemployed.
This programme is not open to students or those in full-time employment.
The programme is suitable for anyone wishing to:
- Start a career in the creative industries
- Transition from other sectors or disciplines
- Take up an upskilling pathway in the sector after a prolonged break
Applicants do not need to have studied or worked in the creative or cultural sectors but should have a keen interest in working in these areas. For example: Production Companies, Theatre Companies, Broadcasters, Festivals, Galleries, or Resource Organisations.
The programme aims to bring together a mix of diverse voices to reflect the rich and diverse communities in contemporary Ireland and positively encourage applications from diverse and under-represented groups.
Due to our funding parameters, this programme is only available to residents of the Republic of Ireland.
What is the Commitment?
Participants are required to attend all sessions (see calendar below):
- Two in person sessions on June 13th and July 17th at FLUX Dublin.
- Nine online sessions delivered on Zoom
- Assessment & Evaluation: Participants are required to provide a feedback report after completing the programme

Applicants are required to submit a personal statement of intent and a brief CV.
The personal statement of intent is an opportunity for applicants to share their story, that is, tell us why they are the right person for this programme (max 600 words).

Costs/fee
FREE under the Skills Connect programme, funded through Skillnet Ireland. For the in-person sessions, travel will be covered for those living outside Dublin, as well as breakfast and lunch.
