Application | Future Edge Creative Sector AI & Privacy Toolkit | 2026

Participant feedback across the Future Edge programmes in 2025 and earlier in 2026 consistently asked for more concrete, ready-to-use examples of policies, contracts and procedures, not only guidance on what such documents should cover.

The AI & Privacy Toolkit has been developed to meet that request directly: a comprehensive, creative-sector-specific set of templates, policies and practical tools, rather than generic AI governance content.

Rather than folding the full Toolkit into the core 2027 programme fee, it is proposed as a standalone add-on module. This keeps the core programme cost unchanged, while giving both current and previous participants the option to access the complete Toolkit through a dedicated session.

This is an approved programme under the Upskill SME Training Grant.

The Upskill SME Training Grant helps eligible small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) invest in AI skills development while recovering employee salary costs associated with training.

Eligible SMEs can claim €204.30 per employee per training day for employees participating in approved AI training programmes, subject to the scheme’s eligibility criteria.

The Upskill SME Training Grant is administered by Skillnet Ireland. Cultural & Creative Industries Skillnet will sign off on the required sections of the grant applications but do not administer the scheme

Overview

From guidance to paperwork: the AI & Privacy Toolkit is here. Across two years of Future Edge, the same feedback kept coming back: less “here’s what your policy should cover,” more “just give us the policy” The AI & Privacy Toolkit is that answer a complete set of ready-to-adapt templates built specifically for film, independent artists, animation, games, post-production, digital media and the performing arts, covering everything from AI acceptable use and vendor due diligence to talent and likeness consent, IP and copyright clauses, and incident response procedures.

Rather than sit behind a training deck, the Toolkit comes with its own full-day session codelivered by Sana Khan and Eoghan Nihill where you’ll get direct access to every document and work through applying them to your own contracts and policies live, with support on hand.

This session is open to both this year’s Future Edge participants and every alumnus from 2025 and 2026 so if you’ve already been through the programme, this is your chance to walk away with the templates too.

Purpose of the Module

  • Provide participants with direct access to the complete AI & Privacy Toolkit
  • Walk through practical application of each template to participants’ own policies, contracts and procedures
  • Extend the value of the programme to past cohorts who did not have Toolkit access
  • Keep the core 2027 programme cost lower by separating Toolkit delivery from core workshop delivery

Session Format

  • One dedicated full-day live session, co-delivered by Sana Khan and Eoghan Nihill
  • Guided walkthrough of each Toolkit category
  • Live application clinic: participants apply templates directly to their own policies and contracts
  • Q&A and troubleshooting
  • Follow up 1 hour consultation
