Cultural & Creative Industries Skillnet are delighted to welcome Robert Cullen to deliver this in-person course on directing an animated series.

This 1-day course will explore the tools required to move up within the animation industry into the role of director, and how to stay there.

This course is for anyone in the animation industry from beginners to seasoned veterans who have ambitions to become a director.

Tutor

Robert Cullen

Robert Cullen is an Emmy nominated director, writer and illustrator with over 30 years of experience in animation industry.

He founded the animation studio Boulder Media in 2000 and has worked as a Director and Animation Director on shows such as Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, Danger Mouse, The Amazing World of Gumball and Transformers. He directed and co-wrote the CG feature film, My Little Pony-A New Generation for Netflix/Hasbro.

In 2021, Robert received the Murakami Award for outstanding achievement in the field of animation.

More recently, Robert has written and illustrated his first graphic novel, Fault Lines, which will be released later in the year. He continues to work in the animation industry as a freelancer.
