Overview

The last 12 months have been extremely challenging for companies and organisations in the creative sector. But with challenges come opportunities and the Future Edge 2024 programme will equip leaders in these companies/organisations with the tools not to get back on track, but to find the new track and survive and then thrive within the evolving landscape of the creative media sector. 

In 2024, our flagship company & leadership development programme, Future Edge, aims to support senior leaders in the creative sector to continue to be resilient and adaptable, but also to be flexible and strategic in their thinking as new opportunities arise. 
 
Brief summary of proposed activities  
Future Edge 2024 is a company programme that takes place over 3 months and supports creative company leaders to navigate and survive the current challenges their companies are facing and guide them towards capitalising on new opportunities to help their companies thrive in the future. This programme will be delivered by top consultants/trainers with expertise in critical areas of concern for creative sector companies, namely AI, GEDI & Sustainability.

Target audience / participant profile  
The programme will be designed for creative company leaders (including senior managers and department heads) with 2+ years of leadership experience in one or more of the broad areas of Animation, Visual Effects, Games, Film, TV, Documentary, Post-Production, Immersive Technologies, AR/VR, Virtual Production, Digital Media, Entertainment Events, Music, Performing Arts and Visual Arts.

The programme will also be open to applications from leaders within representative bodies, stakeholder organisations, guilds, and broadcasters.  

Participants should be in a position to instigate change within the company/organisation. 

Proposal

The Future Edge 2024 programme invites top consultants/experts in the areas listed below to specifically address the following key areas of concern.  

  • Ethical Use of AI
  • Gender, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (GEDI)
  • Sustainability

    Please provide your proposal with a detailed budget and proposed timeline for one of the topics listed. Each submission should propose content in detail including a delivery schedule as well as identify the person/team responsible for delivery. Your proposal should include your bio and track record in your area of expertise.

    The suggestions below should guide your proposal but are not exhaustive.

    1) ETHICAL AI 
    Content: Impact & Ethics of AI – Understand the technology, the risk, and its place in the creative industry. 
    An introduction to concepts and applications of AI in the creative domain and specialised advice on leveraging AI within a company as well as steps to devising an ethical AI company statement/policy. 
    Workshop Duration: 2 X Days 
    Format: In Person with follow up consultation
    Location: Participant dependent but has previously been hosted in Dublin GEC & Morrison Hotel
    Output: AI Company Statement / Policy 
    Max Participants: 10
    Include 1/2 day in person meet & greet and information dissemination

    2) GENDER, EQUITY, DIVERSITY & INCLUSION 
    Content: The importance of GEDI in a company setting incl. interactive workshops and role playing 
    Workshop Duration: 2 x Days
    Format: In Person with follow up consultation 
    Location: Participant dependent but has previously been hosted in Dublin GEC & Morrison Hotel
    Output: GEDI Company Policy 
    Max Participants: 10
    Include 1/2 day in person meet & greet and information dissemination
     
    3) SUSTAINABILITY FOR THE CREATIVE SECTOR 
    Content:  Sustainability for Film / Events / Studios with breakout sessions for
    a) Studios: Animation/Game    b) Festivals: Concerts/Theatre      c) Film: Live Action 
    Workshop Duration: 2 x Days 
    Format: In Person with follow up consultation
    Location: Participant dependent but has previously been hosted in Dublin GEC & Morrison Hotel
    Output: Company Sustainability Plan/Policy
    Max Participants: 10
    Include 1/2 day in person meet & greet and information dissemination
