What will this course cover?
The next session will look broadly at Production Legal.
Once a project has been greenlit and is in production the attention; from the business and legal affairs perspective; will turn to the production legal. Production Legal covers all the myriad legal issues that can arise throughout the production of an animated movie or TV show, from contract renegotiation, IP difficulties and remedies, and employment contracts with crew, to health and safety.
These workshops will be developed and delivered by legal experts and will be relevant to almost everyone engaged in animation. The focus will be on the following themes:
- 1. Intellectual Property Law – May 30th
- 2. Section 481 – June 26th
- 3. International Co-production Considerations – July 24th
- 4. Funding Agencies – August 29th
- 5. Production Legal – October 3rd
- 6. Music and Talent – date TBC
It should be noted that these workshops are educational in nature and not to be considered legal advice specific to your circumstances. If you need assistance you should always consult independent legal advice.
