Design thinking can transform the way organisations develop products, services, processes and strategy. Many companies now use design thinking methodologies to help them overcome key business challenges ever present in today’s fast-paced technology and data driven environment.
You will learn through a series of on-campus lectures, workshops, exercises and projects.

Origins of design thinking | Writing a design brief | Competitor analysis | Creative leadership, vision + values | Brainstorming + ideation | Audience/customer profiling | Customer journeys + empathy experiments | Synthesis + insights | Visualisation methodologies | Storytelling | Prototyping + iteration | Design metrics, evaluation, validation + testing.
Participant profile/Who can apply/Eligibility
This course is suitable for professionals and graduates who have an Undergraduate qualification of 2nd Class Honours or higher at Honours Degree level.
Applicants without a Level 8 qualification may be considered based on their prior experience and learning through our RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) process.
APPLICANTS MUST BE RESIDENT IN THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND TO QUALIFY FOR THE CULTURAL & CREATIVE INDUSTRIES SKILLNET SUBSIDY & NOT IN RECEIPT OF a) a bursary b) a Scholarship or c) grant aid
Location

IADT, located on Kill Ave, Dun Laoghaire, is a leader in higher education with a specialist focus on the development of future makers, shapers, technologists, thinkers, storytellers and creators who lead and innovate in a changing digital world.
Costs/fee
This fee is €750 for qualifying candidates (normally €1,100 per year)
Payment will be via Paypal once a place on the course has been offered and accepted. All payments must be made before the course commences.
